The Nervous Light of Sunday (Mike Yusko)
Though burdened with a pretentious name, this recipe is truly worth a strong mention as one of the best cocktails I’ve come across in many, many years. That said, there’s a history to the name, which you can read at http://barnotes.co/recipes/the-nervous-light-of-sunday by the creator himself.
It’s pretty rare that a cocktail achieves the perfect balance of complexity, sweetness and booziness. The Nervous Light of Sunday does this and more. Unfortunately, I must confess, Luxardo Bitters are not available at the LCBO. Aperol or maybe Campari (or maybe an equal mix of both) would be an alternative.
1 ½ oz | Tanqueray Gin |

1 oz | Lemon |
